{"id":3291,"date":"2022-10-11T13:22:49","date_gmt":"2022-10-11T12:22:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/old.outra.pt\/?p=3291"},"modified":"2022-10-18T13:36:55","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T12:36:55","slug":"sonica-ekrano-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.outra.pt\/en_us\/2022\/10\/sonica-ekrano-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"SONICA EKRANO 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\" translation-block\">Right after an <a href=\"https:\/\/outfest.pt\" target=\"_self\">OUT.FEST<\/a> that we all still feel not only under the skin but also with our ears and hearts, it\u2019s an enormous pleasure to announce the 2nd edition of <b>SONICA EKRANO \u2013 Documentary Film and the Musical Fringes<\/b>, which will be held between the <b>21st and 29th of October<\/b>\u00a0in Barreiro.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sonicaekrano.com\/\" target=\"_self\">SONICA EKRANO<\/a>\u00a0is dedicated to the music, musicians, sounds and movements on the fringes of massification and popularity, and aims to provide the opportunity to watch cinematic works that, even in this digital era, are hard to access, striving to contribute to a bigger audiovisual inclusion, as well as being mindful of geographic diversity and the equilibrium of historical perspectives and contemporary narratives.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">This second edition presents 15 films, with almost half being exhibited for the first time in Portugal \u2013 highlighting the world premiere of \u201c<b>Na Corda Bamba<\/b>\u201d, the new film by the director Lu\u00eds Fernandes, which follows the experimental music scene in Portugal, or \u201c<b>Universe<\/b>\u201d, , a documentary that broaches a series of compositions written by <b>Wayne Shorter<\/b> for the legendary <b>Miles Davis<\/b>, which awaited for decades to be released. For the remaining programme, we also have films portraying artists such as <b>Lydia Lunch<\/b>,<b>\u00a0Fela Kuti<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Poly Styrene<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Tangerine Dream<\/b>\u00a0ou\u00a0<b>Telectu<\/b>, among others.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">The screenings will be dividided between the Castello Lopes cinema in <b>F\u00f3rum Barreiro<\/b>, the local <b>Cineclube<\/b>, the <b>Munincipal Library<\/b> of Barreiro and <b>Audit\u00f3rio Municipal Augusto Cabrita<\/b>.
