Noite da Raposa ######

Noite da Raposa is back, an event of immersion and bravado dedicated to emerging electronica and beyond: two stages at ADAO’s Sala Oficina, short concerts with no breaks in-between, a night for good mismatches and the official kick-off for a year (it starts whenever One wants it to, after all) we wish to be a happy one.

This time, Raposa part 6 brings us the ‘anything-goes’ magic from ZIMA, the duo composed by Sara Zita Correia and Marta Ramos, who have been enchanting us since their work undertaken as part of OUT.RA’s 2020 Creation Grant; the ritualistic guitar explorations of ZARYA, multidisciplinary artist who’s made Lisbon her home; the electronics as a means to fight off “the boredom of living in the country” of SUPPERMINER; the swing-like instrumental loops with soul from Angolan OSEIAS; the exaltation of house and the obvious (?) interconnection between Detroit, Chicago and Barreiro (hint: factories and wind) from Mel das Peras and Thep aka THE WORLD ACCORDING TO MEL & THEP and, last but definitely not least, the violent and beatific harsh noise massage of SHIKABALA (who is also Aires and member of Peak Bleak and Fashion Eternal).

CARINCUR

ONDNESS

PHILIPPE TROVÃO

RABU MAZDA

SPELLCASTER

The fourth edition (this time, online) of a night which has already established itself as one of the most eclectic in OUT.RA’s programming, bringing together local, regional, and on this occasion international creators in electronic dance music, modular synthesis, contemporary composition and ambient music (and everything in between).

CARINCUR is an emerging name of an “inter-multi-trans-antidisciplinary” persuasion, who places a particular emphasis on translating the relationships between space, body and mind to image and sound; ONDNESS is one of the Portuguese exploratory community’s better known names abroad at the time, who just launched, in May, a collection of ghostly studies with his idiosyncratic dance music structure entitled “Bongo Mania Fantasma Tools”; PHILLIPE TROVÃO is a classically trained saxophonist, here presenting his own pieces alongside those by the incomparable composer Jorge Peixinho; RABU MAZDA is one of the most recent additions to Barreiro’s artistic community and one of the leading figures of the Cafetra label, who has just released the excellent album “Todo Mundo Sabe” through Brazillian label 40%Foda/Maneiríssimo; SPELLCASTER is Danish musician Holger Artvig, an honorary citizen of Barreiro who will present, directly from Copenhagen, new studies in his very own universe mixing glitch experimentation with contemporary composition, classic song structures with trap, drill and at least half of every sub-genre we can identify.

OUT.RA Música: Maio e Junho na ADAO
