FÖLLAKZOID

A peerless band based in Santiago, Chile, Föllakzoid have been, since 2009, building up a career going on its fourth album, in one of the most beautiful sonic updates of the aesthetics associated with krautrock revivalism and the dreamier side of stoner rock, taking in their ontologies of repetition, minimalism, rhythmic and textural trance to the point where in their latest record, last year’s “I”, we reach the final distillation of the hallmarks of rock (drums and guitars) into a sound close to the more contemplative side of club music. As if a bunch of punk kids had discovered house after years and years of jamming.

One of the most unique and wonderful bands of the last decade, finally! in Barreiro. One of those gigs we’ve wanted to host for years.

Anti S. is the alter ego of Galician musician Santi Zubizarreta, creator of songs self-sabotaged by dense layers of noise which add (rather than take away) an emotional openness and a certain anguish as a transversal lingua franca to the more interesting and cavernous DIY pop of the North American alternative circuits of the 90s.
