Two special concerts for March

We're happy to announce our concert programming for March - two shows which champion specific causes and differ from the usual music night fare.

On the 14th, Be Jazz Cafe will host the return of Argentinian musician, sonic explorer and pedagogue ALAN COURTIS (already an honorary Barreiro citizen), who will present his latest adventure with WE2 (the band made up by over 10 NÓS Association beneficiaries) . Those who were present at the two previous performances by these HERÓIS INDIANOS ROMANOS AFRICANOS (at Be Jazz in 2016 and ADAO in 2017) definitely recall how emotional it is to listen to music and performances as special as their authors' needs. For those who weren't - don't miss out on witnessing this display of unfettered creativity in one of the most beautiful Saturday matinées we could imagine.

Three days later, on the 17th, we move on to AMAC to see WATER MUSIC3 by Porto-based percussionist LUÍS BITTENCOURT, in another matinée which will be a part of the International Water Day celebrations by the Barreiro Municipality. The musician will perform three pieces of the same name ("Water Music") by composers John Cage, Tan Dun and Joseph Byrd (this last one in a national premiere), which demonstrate the immense power of water even as a form of musical expression.

Admission is free for both shows. Meanwhile, tickets are still available at BOL for the other shows we've already announced: FÖLLAKZOID + ANTI S e GREEN MILK FROM THE PLANET ORANGE + PARPAR. And don't forget that applications are still open for the OUT.RA Creation Grant for 2020
